Coppicing



I~000005   One of the many changes to land management in recent years has been the decline of coppicing.
Along rivers and watercourses this can mean more shading and greater amounts of leaf litter in the channels as trees grow beyond the size they would have done under a rotational coppicing system.
The Project has paid for coppicing to be carried out on three sites and the results are very quick to show through once the spring growth starts.
